    10:00 am - 12:00 pm

What is the purpose of your artwork? What are you trying to say? Is is about line, shape, color, light? What is the concept you are trying to express. These are some of the questions you should be asking yourself before you begin a work of art. Here is an opportunity to get together to talk about painting. Your painting and mine. Every artist needs to understand how to construct a work of art and to understand how to deal constructively with issues that come up during the process. We will discuss how the elements of art and principles of design work to put together a strong composition and support a concept or emotion. You will be given guidelines for both creating your artwork and for looking at art. We will be discussing things like how to lead the viewers eye, what is a good design, how to use color effectively, how to express emotion. etc. Bring your notebooks, sketchbooks and if you like a work of art you would like to talk about. Or if your not an artist but just love looking at art, join us to learn what to look for in a painting.

When your painting in a vacuum your work gets tired and uneventful. Bring new life to it through the process of critique. Meet with us on the 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning October 24( 4 sessions).
