Painting is difficult. It involves more than most imagine.  This class will give you the tools you need to analyze and create a work of art, and give you the skills to take your painting to a new level. It addresses the beginner as well as the more seasoned painter in a small intimate setting. Each class begins with a specific topic which  we will discuss. Things like color theory, composition, the importance of values, drawing skills, perspective. We will also look into how to read a tube of paint, what kind of brushes do you need, what alternative substrates can you work on  We will get into topics like What is art and What makes art good or bad. We will work from still life, photos or your imagination, in either an objective or non objective style. Individual instruction will be given to each student to help develop a specific plan for growth. Come equipped with your paints and canvas ready to paint. The class will be every Wednesday night, 6:oopm – 8:30pm,  beginning February 26th and ending on March 25.
