This class is a class geared toward all those who want to expand on their drawing skills Drawing is the basis of much of the visual arts. Many of us artists were thrown into our creative lives without the drawing skills we need to make strong images. In this class you will learn to work with charcoal, pen and ink as well as graphite. You will learn about working with different keys, about improving your compositions and mostly about making drawings that count for something.

Materials List
Materials:
1-Graphite Pencils-, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B any company
2-plastic eraser –
3-Kneaded Eraser-
4-Blender Stumps- variety sets of 5 sizes, get the ones with points on both sides
5-A drawing pad. Make sure they are at least 11 x 14 in size. The higher the weight of the paper the better the pad will be.)
6- A charcoal Pad (11×14)
7-ONE of either: A multimedia Pad, a smooth bristle pad, or a watercolor pad
8-Viewfinder,( called a viewcatcher).
9-Ruler
10- Micron tip pens
11- india ink (black)
12- a pen and nib(pointy one or multiple ones)
13-a soft round brush( like a sable)or a chinese round brush for work in india ink) and a flat bristle brush ( about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch)
14-vine charcoal as well as compressed square sticks
15- charcoal pencils( 2b,4b, 6b or soft and medium
16- A white charcoal or pastel pencil
