Beginning/Intermediate Landscape Painting

Here is an opportunity to learn all you need to know to paint landscape. Landscape painting can be very challenging. We will begin inside learning the skills necessary to portray the ever changing landscape. As we progress and the weather permits we will venture outside. Come equipped with your paints and canvas ready to paint. Seven new classes will begin on Tuesday July 6 and go through August 17th from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM. All covid precautions will be observed, so please wear a mask. This class is limited in size due to covid so register early.

For Oil Painters:

37mm size tubes

Gamblin, Utrecht, Winsor Newton Professional Grade paint or equivalent- Do Not use student grade paint, you will only have to replace it as you get better.

Cadmium Lemon Yellow
Cadmium Yellow Medium
Yellow ochre
burnt sienna
Cadmium Red Light
Alizarin Crimson
Ultramarine Blue
Thalo Blue
Titanium White
viridian green

Look for quality brushes ( suggested : Robert Simmons, Isabey, or Rosemary brushes are all good

Synthetic or sable sizes: Round,2 ; Flats 8,10,

Bristle sizes Bright 2,6, Filbert,4,8,10; Flat,8

A palette knife a small triangle and a large triangle ( preferably a wood handle, with a bend in the handle and a metal point)

1 small palette cup or small container for medium

Odorless turpenoid ( blue and white can only )

Refined linseed or Walnut oil or other medium of your choice

Either canvas pads, canvas boards or stretched canvas.
