This is a workshop geared toward demystifying Plein Air Painting. You will learn the basic skills of plein air painting, including atmospheric perspective, theory of angles, diffraction and reflection, color theory as well as how to handle all that nature presents to you. The first session we will meet in my studio and go over the specifics of plain air painting, then head out to paint. The next two sessions we will meet on location, weather permitting.

Soft synthetic or sables for oil: Flats and rounds any combination of sizes 2 through 8
Palette knife and/or painting knife (specifically a small triangle one but any additional shapes or sizes are welcome)
Medium:
Linseed oil or walnut oil or poppy seed oil
Odorless turpentine
